    • Thank you Doreen. Many many words are also available, still often phrased from the perspectives of people who were part of or facilitated by the colonial administration or other powers that were or be. This is part of why we emphasise the photographic, hoping it may generate other streams of association and information.

      • Hi Andrea
I am very happy that I found this after doing some more research about Uganda and Africas history. This website is also very interesting in case you don’t know about it.

Showing these photos to Africans today has a very deep impact on them as they seem to have everything forgotten about their past and take everything for granted without any appreciation. We have been living here in Uganda for more than 10 and I started doing intensive reading and research I would say 2 years ago as I could not understand why people here are behaving as they are. Now I think I understand as their past is still very present. I would appreciate if you would email me at gesunddurchwissen@gmail.com
Thanks and all the best Andreas Schauffert
