Robert Fyffe (1882-1962) was appointed “Assistant to the Superintendent of the Botanic, Forestry and Scientific Department of the Uganda Protectorate” in 1908 and would later work as Chief Forestry Officer in Entebbe. We acquired the set of negatives (more on them later) through Ebay without knowing who produced them. As we work to find out more if possible, see the conversations they start via our Facebook,
Some of the photographs are from Asia, Ceylon, a.k.a Sri Lanka, and they can be contextualised in a self-published book Robert Fyffe titled “My Tour In The East”.
