This collection is a set of 100 slides. Engineer Wambwa had two sets and donated one of them to HIPUganda. He got the slides himself from Catholic friends in the Netherlands. It seems like there was a text book to go with the slides, but that was not in Engineer Wambwa’s possession. While ‘Sonolux production’ is mentioned online in relation to Catholic media production we have not yet been able to find out enough about it to share that information. Anything you might know is welcome. We also are not sure when these slides were produced, but for now think of the 1980s. The story told by the pictures seems to navigate between the historical narrative of the martyrs and what was then present day Uganda.
The slides are mounted in orange frames and have lost most of their colour variety, leaving us with largely pink pictures.
