Thanks Guillaume Rusengo, That makes a lot of sense in relation to Dr. Schofield, who made the photograph. He lived in Tooro at the time and was part of the social circle of Rukirabasaija Sir George David Matthew Kamurasi Rukidi III, the Omukama of Tooro, whose oldest son Prince (Omubiito) Stephen Edgar Paul Karamagi, according to Rukidi’s Wikipedia page, married the daughter of Chief Semugeshi. Is that also how you made the connection? Or have you seen other photographs of Chief Semugeshi?
