Paul Julien was a Dutch chemist with a big interest in anthropology that led to many travels on the African continent. He never did proper research in Uganda, but did visit/travel through the country in 1933 and in 1947. His photographs are part of the collection of the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam who kindly gave us permission to share the photographs as part of an ongoing research into Julien’s travels and work.
