One of the strange things with lantern slides is that it is hard to know when you are looking at a mirrored image. Therefore in this case, both front and back of the slide photographed. One side has broken glass, the other side doesn’t.
Mountains of the moon? We do not yet have a clue of the date, beyond probably early 20th century.
